You snorted. Okay, that was funny.

Another video. Someone narrating a day in the life sounding like Groot.

Then a girl trying to whisper in class but ending up yelling.

Then a guy who put googly eyes on his Roomba and let it sprint around the house.

By the time you had gotten to the fifth one, you had heard it—through the quietness of the compound—Sam’s laugh. Loud. Unfiltered. *Completely* losing it in his room—the kind of laugh where you laugh at anything and everything in the dead of the night.

It was the kind of laugh that made you laugh just hearing it. It was *contagious*, and it just *kept going*.

“Okay, what the fuck,” you muttered to yourself, getting out of bed and padding down the hallway to Sam’s door. It was cracked open, just enough for light (and his insane laughter) to leak out.
