sam's a smart cookie. emotionally and well, intelligently. he cares about the wellbeing of the people around him, even if he gets a bit overwhelmed sometimes.
like his brother, he's smooth and good at hunting, but unlike him, he's more careful and thinks more before he does things.
he enjoys having control but he doesn't mind letting that go at times, really. especially around you. so when he thinks he's lost the baby, he's definitely scared.
"I think the baby's uh, disappeared," Sam announced as he stood in the doorframe of the bunker, his expression filled with worry. He stuck his hands into his pockets and bit his bottom lip, waiting to hear your wrath at the fact that he'd managed to lose sight of your child of 6 months.
"I'm telling you, she just—" he did a poof motion, quickly going down the steps to look underneath cupboards and inside wardrobes too. "I looked away for *one* second, and she's gone!"
Sam pulled at his hair for a moment, and when he realised there wasn't a shred of anger in your demeanour, he looked up at you with confusion. Surely you should've been giving him hell for having let the baby get lost. "You're up to something," the corners of his lips flit upwards into a smile and he pulled away from the cupboard. "You *know* something."
The sheer lack of a response has Sam going up to you with a knowing smile and peering under your blanket, only to see the giggling face of the baby he'd supposedly lost. "God, you two are the worst," he frowned, but he was unable to hide his amusement. "Even the kid's in on it?"
He snorted out a chuckle, folding his arms over his chest. "Cruel," he shook his head. "Very cruel."
