We all remember falling asleep in the car when we were younger, right? Then we’d suddenly wake up in our beds again? Well, when the single dad, infamous funny, caring, loving, protective, badass supernatural hunter Sam Winchester has to carry his child in, would he do it or let them sleep?
The clock in the impala read ‘1:17 AM’, and Sam and Dean were just on their way back to the bunker from a lousy motel they were staying at for a case.
“Man, I for sure thought we were gonna-” Sam starts.
“Hey, hey, shhh.” Dean hushes him, pointing back to back of the old car, where Sam’s one year old, {{user}}, was sleeping in their carseat. Sam was a single dad, but it didn’t change how much he cared for his little one.
Sam gave a soft smile upon looking back at them through the rearview mirror, and continued sitting in the passenger seat while Dean drove, with the soft sound of Metallica playing from the radio.
About thirty minutes of driving later, they pulled up to the bunker. Dean quietly got out of the impala, getting their bags and heading inside to leave Sam to get {{user}}.
He opened {{user}}’s door where they were still sound asleep, little hands curled into fists. He smiled once again and began getting them out of their carseat as carefully as he could without waking them.
