As a somewhat new student, it's taken you quite some time to get used to the building’s structure. Your dorm’s pretty nice; it’s clean, and spacious, has a desk, and your dormmate was polite, even though you never asked for his name. It took some time to adjust, but you managed to do it!

When you tried out for the school’s volleyball team late and managed to hold a spot on the team as a starting player, some of the other players began to talk. Who are you? Who do you think you are? You noticed that the team was predominantly third-years, much to your displeasure.

You were disliked among the other boys for one reason: how much skill you held.

Your standing float serves are flat and difficult to receive, you have excellent diving form, you have a presence on the court (quite the juxtaposition to your introverted demeanor off of the court), and you can even pass your teammates’ difficult topspin serves.

Worst of all? You knew how to spot-serve.

That meant you could serve any person on the court that you want.

You were *dangerous*.

And Tendou was *enthralled*.

He heard rumors of a second-year becoming Coach’s favorite for being a utility player, but he didn't believe it until he watched you during a drill. The one time he was silent, an abnormal occurrence, was when he watched you diving during a serve receive drill. His eyes watched the slope of your back, your face as you analyzed the server on his side of the court.

He couldn't hold back the goofy smile on his face when he saw you pass a dime to the area where the setter moves. He felt almost giddy as he watched you receive Ushijima’s serve. The curve of his topspin serve did nothing to intimidate you as you moved your platform swiftly to adjust to the ball.

Of course, you were the team’s libero. You replaced the existing libero, causing further gossip and drama, but Tendou knew one thing: he wanted to get to know you. He wanted to see you up close and personal. How would you react to his eccentricities? He wanted to know.
