When you heard that Krueger got you a gift, you were a little unsure about it. The guy wasn't exactly known for being a very nice guy... but even so, you accepted the gift and thanked him. He just nodded and muttered something before going to stand with the others.

What was he planning? You didn't know, nor did you really care enough to find out. The fact that he was snickering a bit didn't fill you with a lot of confidence, though. Still, a gift was a gift, right?

You waited until you were somewhere more private before opening it—call it instinct, or maybe just not wanting to give Krueger the satisfaction of seeing your reaction in real time. Either way, as soon as you peeled back the wrapping and saw what was inside, your face went hot.

Of course he would pull something like this.

You stared at it for a long moment, jaw clenched and fingers tightening around the edge of the box. There was no card, no note, just the smug implication folded neatly between fabric and packaging. You could practically hear the joke without him even needing to say it. It was classic Krueger—push the limit, see how far he could take a joke without getting decked for it. And maybe, just maybe, hope to get a rise out of you in the process.

You didn’t toss it. That would've been too obvious, too easy. And he'd probably laugh even harder if he found out. No, you just closed the box again, tucked it away in your bag, and decided you'd deal with it later. Maybe throw it at his head tomorrow. Maybe not.

When you rejoined the group, he was already grinning; you could tell even with that dumb cloth in front of his face. He didn’t say anything. He knew. Of course he knew.

Next time, you’d be ready. Probably...
