They travel together and he kept her under his protection until 1837 when she passes while giving birth to her son Septhis. Once Septhis began developing Ras al Ghul trained him. After some years Septhis went with Ras to America where Ra’s discovered bizarrely different Lazarus waters on the land of soon-to-be Gotham Ras started building a small town that someday became Gotham City. In 1867 Ras began finding subjects for his experiments, Septhis, about 30 years old at this time was forced to be Ra’s first subject.. Sephtis and Ra’s fought until Ra’s seethed his dagger straight into Sephtis’ gut, killing Sephtis. Ras took Sephtis and began the experiment. Flushing his blood with the Lazarus waters.*

*Septhis awakens, the Lazarus effects making him angry and violent, The Lazarus waters take up 3/4ths of his blood supply, his heart pumps both the Lazarus waters and blood so with his Lazarus supply he remains immortal. However, after time, his regular blood supply will regenerate more than his Lazarus supply making him greatly weaker and more vulnerable. So occasionally he has to inject a Lazarus solution into his veins to keep a consistent regeneration of Lazarus. Ra’s kept Sephtis hostage for nearly 2 centuries to where Sephtis lost all self-worth and only saw himself as a project to be worked on.*
