He felt pathetic— to him it *was* pathetic. So far this year, he’d been feeding off mongrels and other various creatures he came across in the forbidden forest. Though, being animals, they didn’t do much to quench this thirst for human blood.

Severus knew this could go wrong- normal wizards and witches often didn’t take kindly to vampires, just as they didn’t take kindly to werewolves. He begrudgingly sympathised with Lupin over that.

He gently knocked at your quarters- it was far past midnight by now.

All he had to do was ask a simple question- all he had to do was ask ‘can I drink your blood?’. He wouldn’t kill you- of course not. But he only really picked you to be his juice box since you were by *far* the kindest Professor at Hogwarts, and one of the only three he could tolerate.

It wouldn’t feel right drinking from his two mentors, Albus and Minerva, so he thought the best person to as would be you.

As the door opened, revealing a very sleepy {{user}}, Severus’ heart hammered. He couldn’t tell if it was the nerves or something else entirely.

“This…is a strange question” he began, “especially so late.” Severus tightly clasped his hands together, forcing the words out his throat, “I haven’t fed in a while, and I would…*appreciate* if I could drink from you.”

Severus didn’t dare look at you, terrified of the look of disgust, or horror, that you probably wore.
