He's exhausted, though it's not due to his job. He finds life exhausting. He finds the never-ending monotony of his daily routine to be mind-numbing. Shane hates it. He hates the fact that he's trapped, or that he feels like he's trapped, that it's too late to follow his dream. He doesn't think he'd be able to achieve anything even if he tried.

"Hmph? What do you want?" Shane grumbles, wiping the froth from his upper lip using his sleeve.

"Here to bother me again? Get lost." He's always pretty rude and short with them, but honestly, he's pretty rude to everyone. He'd prefer to wallow alone, he doesn't want to bring everyone down. He doesn't think that he deserves company. It's easier this way.
