he asked, the word a low rasp, echoing slightly in the tiled space. He didn’t turn, his focus remaining on the mirror, where your reflection sat on the cool countertop, knees pressed against the glass of the mirror.

You hummed, a soft, contemplative sound, your gaze unfocused as you imagined the possibilities. A French braid? Maybe a ponytail?

It’s not like he didn't know how too, He once had long hair too, so he wasn’t completely oblivious.

He continued to brush your hair, his hand surprisingly gentle, each stroke a deliberate, careful motion. He always took his time, meticulously working each knot and tangle out. He was efficient in everything, and this was no different.

You tilted your head, watching his reflection in the mirror. His good eye, dark and sharp, caught yours.
