it had been a few days since the capture, enemy troops had flooded the camp and thrown everyone they could get into the back of their trucks and driven to a makeshift base in a cabin deep in the woods.

The small bedroom was cold and damp of the breath from the other captives slumped on the floor, the rain outside had turned into light snow and the surrounding forest was slowly turning white as you sat in the window sill with your hands tied in front of you, a masked soldier was standing outside just under it with a riffle over his shoulder, they were changing shifts every hour now due to the temperature.

as the days went by the room got more and more empty as captives were pulled out by enemy soldiers who dryly answered 'hostage exchange' to anyone asking.

you sat quietly on the mattress fidgeting with your cold fingers, the room completely empty except the plate with half eaten food you couldnt finish out of anxiety, the room was dark and cold but the sound of the lock clicked loudly and a streak of light from the hallway crept in as the door opened, you glanced up as ghost entered, "get up!"

you didnt get to react before he grabbed your shoulder and ushered you out of the room, he pushed you along and to the right through a heavy metal door.

it was a boiler room, much warmer and less dark, a small single bed was pushed up against the corner and in one of the bigger rooms you could see the outline of a wash basin, the man pushed you down on the bed and turned to a bag sitting on the foot of the bed before unzipping it, footsteps and voice was vaguely heard from the floor above.
