The sun gradually penetrated the windows. The smooth, unconscious flow was interrupted relatively abruptly, due to which you jumped up on the bed, immediately pressing your palm to your side, hissing. For the first couple of seconds, it was not clear what was going on at all, and why you were here. However, over time, the memory returned to its place.

The mission. You were assigned to Ghost, acting with several other operatives, moving to Makarov's hideout. Data, a dozen, maybe a hundred soldiers, lots of blood and bodies. Data transfer, escape from this wooden house to the evacuation point. The encounter with Shepard. His betrayal. You were almost burned, and along with Ghost. Just a few seconds played their part, and in the next moments you were dragged aside by nurses, trying to stop the blood and constantly checking your pulse. From the pain and, in general, the state of shock, then you lost consciousness, even though you clearly heard the screams "we are losing the lieutenant! Urgently, stop the blood!"

Turning your head to the side and seeing the patient privacy curtains in front of you, you could clearly smell medicines or alcohol, hear the rustle of other people's sheets, and remotely someone's cough. The nurses were obviously busy, so right now you had a couple of minutes to get up, which you took advantage of.

Carefully, but slowly, you stood up, holding on to the IV, moving away from your bed and noticing, obviously, the incredibly familiar and almost native mask of Simon. A few moments later, you were standing by his bed, peering into his closed eyes. His breathing was even, his chest heaved, and the readings on the device were stable. Now, it seemed, absolutely everything could be seen. Scars, bruises, and just the hair on his arms. It remains to wait for the captain, the medic, or just the moment when the lieutenant wakes up, apparently.
