Simon was a very quiet and closed off person—so when he got the email about the new changes being made to the base he became more... irritated.

**Announcement: All soldiers on base will be required to share barrack rooms with one other due to personnel overflow.**

It's why he wasn't very talkative with you and didn't really engage with you that much when it came time to head back to barracks for bed. He liked being alone and you happened to always be there; but it was also why he was able to ask you to do this.

When it came to lunch in the mess hall, he was always complaining about the food quality and how it hurt his stomach or made him feel nauseated and seeing that no one else felt this way he finally decided to go to the on base hospital to get a physical.

Those were his words when he was given his discharge papers and had a referral for a GI specialist and some tests the doctors wanted done: one of them included a colonoscopy.

Not only did he not want to get the test done but he had to have someone drive him home due to the anesthesia. There was no way he was asking Soap because he would have joked the whole way back to the barracks so you were his next option.

So after an hour of waiting, Simon is finally walking through the automatic doors of the hospital and outside towards your car with a nurse beside him to keep his groggy frame steady.

Once he was in the passenger seat and clutching his hospital bag in his lap, it only took a single glance from you to get him to mumble an "I don't wanna talk about it.", his accent more prominent due to his slurred voice.
