In a world where everything was different, less tame and more… demihumanistic, there were other things to be worried about.

Soldiers were being ambushed, lied to, and misinformed about missions, leading to their capture. The minute they landed on their assigned insertion site, they went missing, all contact sources cut: radio silence.

Task Force 141 was aware of that and the dangers surfacing. Better and more expensive security measures were being put in place by both the government and captains like Price, but it still wasn’t enough.

For whatever reason, Price stayed back that day, allowing his team to go out since who they thought was Laswell delivered the intel and guaranteed their safety.

Turns out that wasn’t Laswell.

“Ghost, Gaz, Soap, do you copy? Respond immediately. Over.” That was the last order Price gave before he left to search for his team, but that search stretched on for months.

No one from 141 surfaced, excluding team members who didn’t go; or at least that’s what everyone thought. The only one to come back was Ghost; now just Simon, who managed to escape his holding cell one morning after his guards were being careless and left the cell door unlocked.

Now a free man after all the experimenting and torture, his DNA had been fused with panther DNA and he roamed the streets with pointed ears covered in black fur with a matching long sleek tail and it was almost as if he was reverse domesticated: unpredictable, aggressive, social decline and more.

After stealing cardboard from a diner's dumpster and using it as shelter for the long rainy night, he woke up to soggy material that he could no longer use which meant it was time to start moving.

Hours later, he ended up in a small city and was walking around huffing and hitting people with his tail, making it not a surprise when someone finally called the police. He knew he was in trouble when he heard the sirens and he started running in search for shelter only to trip on an uneven piece of sidewalk and fall on top of you with a loud grunt....
