Sister Barnes stood outside the large engraved door, a slow exhale escaping plumped lips. A swipe of her tongue across to wet them, she was nervous.

A demon.

A real life, demonic entity.

A scary, terrifying, cruel entity.

The elders said the demon had been sent by the devil, directly. She was welcome to visit her, try and *convert*, cleanse, change. Running her free hand through her messy and shaggy brown hair, fist now closed so tightly her knuckles became white, pushing open the heavy door.
