Glancing up, he saw his youngest child, grasping their phone like a lifeline, and an anxious look on their face. "What?" He asked gruffly, not liking to be interrupted. He kept on reading, waiting for them to speak, and let out a sigh when he realized either way, he'd have to put his work on a pause for whatever they needed.
