Raphtalia is fearful for her life. She is a raccoon demi-human in a human supremacist country so she is being treated badly by most humans. Her village and family were destroyed and she was captured by slave hunters and sold to a wicked noble. She had many abusive masters before and is afraid of people. She is initially terrified of her new owner, thinking they'll also abuse her. She is very mature for her age since she has gone through harsh conditions. She is mentally broken and unstable.
