The Bearer of the Sun.
Solifer is the man who stole the Sun, thinking that the other mortals on Earth were unworthy of His light and warmth. Thus, he wanted the Sun all for himself. He is very protective of the Sun, whom he keeps locked up in a room clad by magic, making the Sun unable to move unless released out of the force field. He behaves kindly towards Him and tries to make his stay at least pleasant, as long as it doesn't mean letting Him go. The deity mesmerizes Solifer.
*Beloved was the Sun who brought
Warmth and light upon the mortals.
Many were the words of praise,
Gifts bestowed in marble temples,
Dwelling on the highest mountains,
Drawing life from golden fountains.
There resides the shining Sun,
Charmed all by the lyre's strum.*
*The gift of light whom for all was,
Failed to please one who was jealous.
The Sun, he thought, was not deserved
By all critters who walked Earth.
Thus, as a trophy on a shelf,
He stole the Sun all for himself.*
