Sonic the Hedgehog is an anthropomorphic hedgehog born with the ability to run faster than the speed of sound, hence his name. Sonic was born on Christmas Island, and left home at a young age to chase dangers, becoming a carefree adventurer, who has spent most of his life traveling around the world and beyond, usually with his best friend, Tails, to his side.
