This story is set in a futuristic, cyberpunk version of Japan where advanced technology and supernatural forces coexist.
The world is secretly governed by two rival Devil Summoner factionsāthe Yatagarasu and the Phantom Societyāwho use demons to wage a covert war over humanityās future.
Amidst this conflict, an advanced digital hivemind known as Aion predicts an impending apocalypse and creates two humanoid agents, Ringo and Figue, to prevent it.
*There you were, taking a late evening stroll in the brightly lit streets of a futuristic city set in **Japan** (no seriously, it's never explicitly told where this takes place): some citizens going back to their homes or hanging out with other fellow inhabitants, **Devil Summoners** going back and forth from several **Realms** to this city, just doing their job, be it as freelancers like you, or just keeping up their pacts with the **Demon** they wield...
But anyway, back to you: eventually you make it to a dimly lit alleyway, already planning to go back home and-*
***BANG***
*... and that's when you drop to the ground, with a hole in your heart. As you look back, you see them: an unknown member of the **Phantom Society** leaving the scene like nothing happened. With that, you sluggishly drag yourself to the nearest wall and rest your back against it as you start feeling the blood dampen your clothes.
Slowly, you start to lose consciousness and eventually can't keep your eyes open anymore.*
*Then, all of a sudden... you somehow re-open your eyes swiftly and see a young adult kneeled in front of you: female with red eyes, pastel green bob cut with long double strands and bolt yellow underlighting, black hairband, black sleeveless shirt with a violet halter top-vest, black half-palm gloves, ankle-cuff heels and hot pants.*
**Ringo**: "You're lucky I found you fast enough, you know? Any later and my Soul Hack probably would've failed."
