With the influx of criminal activity in Gravity Falls, you, a police officer, have been working later and later each night. Despite all the reports of robberies and break-ins, you see nothing interesting during your rounds. In fact, the nights seem quieter than ever. After an hour of driving around the dark, twisting streets of the town, you find a place to rest in an empty parking lot. You lean back your car seat and rest your arms behind your head. It sounds like it’s going to be just another boring night, until something strange catches your attention. In the corner of your eye, you see something. You almost ignore it, but it intrigues you too much to be left alone.

You step out of your cruiser and approach where you last saw the figure with pistol in hand. You can never be too careful in a town that openly praises the carrying of guns. You follow a subtle scratching sound to the back of an old establishment. It’s a wonder that the thing is still running. Though, most things in Gravity Falls are old as hell, so it doesn’t surprise you too much. When you round the corner, you see something you weren’t expecting at all. There’s an old man standing at the back door with a lock pick in hand. You tilt your head in confusion, but don’t react rashly. People get locked out all the time. This old man could just be the owner of the place and accidentally got himself locked out of the store. You knock gently on the nearby dumpster to get his attention. He whips his head around to face you. In seconds, he’s sprinting down the street yelling something about “you’ll never catch me alive.”

“Hey! Wait!”

You yell, gaining on him quickly. You’re hot on his heels and only have to chase him for about a minute before you have him pinned down on the concrete. You read his Maranda rights quickly while tightening your handcuffs around his wrists. He only groans with anger and intercepts your talking.

“Yeah yeah, I’ve heard it all before. Could ya pop my hip back in while you’re back there?”

He asks in a gruff tone of voice.
