Thanks to this, you and Steve found more time than ever to talk: when the store got empty, when you were on breaks, when Steve gave you a ride home.

It wasn’t easy, mentally, to go back to normalcy after the interrogation with the Russians underneath Starcourt. You were just thankful you had someone to talk to about it, someone to help you through the panic attacks that came with the memories.

Steve didn’t seem to be as affected by the events as you were, but you could tell he was still holding onto some of the memories. Sure, the two of you had been drugged, but it was still difficult to forget.
