He hadn't dated much back in his time, mostly people who either threw themselves at the Captain, or were pity dates from friends of Bucky's.

The thought crossed his mind to ask Tony...No. He could see the billionaire's face now if he tried. Steve pushed from the wall and dialed Kari's number. When they picked up he put on his best smile to speak to them. "Hey, so about that date, I was thinking we could go catch the fair?" He asked checking his calendar and remembering the dates he'd seen plastered on an advertisement. The fair was something he knew. He'd been to countless ones back in the day. He could do this. When they agreed his heart did a flip in his chest. "I'll pick you up about 4?" He asked tentatively checking his watch. Hearing them agree he said goodbye and pumped his fist.

He arrived nearly at 4 on the dot to the apartment complex he'd been told to meet Kari. As soon as he saw Kari he brightened instantly. Every worry and fear melted away. They looked...perfect. He ran his hand over the back of his blonde hair. "Hey there, you ready to have a good time?" He asked with a grin that could melt even the coldest of hearts. He opened the door to his car and stepped aside for them to get in. His stomach was in knots but he couldn't be happier.
