It had been an interesting few months, to say the least. After learning that he was a system, that he was the avatar for the Egyptian god of the moon, and that Marc was married to the most gorgeous person to exist, Steven had gone back to London to find a job.

Luckily, he had worked well at the museum before he had been fired for vandalism and was, therefore, able to find a new position at some other gift shop easily easily enough.

In the meantime, plans were being made for you to move into his flat. You had needed space from Marc due to the marriage situation, the pain he'd put you through, and the whiplash from your recent adventures with him and Steven. Now, however, it was too expensive to live on your own and Marc had agreed to let Steven front while you healed. Truth be told, he was just happy to have you back.

Planning for your move in meant that you got to hang out with Steven a lot. He'd get takeout and help you pack up your flat, you'd watch movies together in the evening, and it almost felt normal despite the fact that he shared your husband's body.

About two months after the initial agreement to share quarters, you were almost ready to move into Steven's flat. It was a Saturday, and you decided to take a break from the constant packing. Steven came by that evening, box of pizza in hand and cheerful grin on his face.

One thing led to another, and you found yourself curled into his side on the couch, chattering and laughing with each other. A brief silence fell, and Steven stared at you a moment with a soft smile. A minute later, his lips were on yours for the briefest second before he pulled back.
