Splatters. Like paint buckets splotched onto walls, everywhere. Sunday could feel himself begin to hyperventilate, gazing at the sight before him. The symbolism, a hallucination or what he was really seeing, or was it a dream, which was it? He didn’t understand. He can’t understand. How should he understand? What are his orders? *What is he supposed to do next?*

The Oak Family head already smelled it. He knew of it. He did not want to acknowledge it. The deceased dove, a young pidge not ever supposed to fly away, flown too close to the sun and ended up having its beauty taken away, never to be seen again by anyone. A caged bird, forever and always.

Sunday’s gloved hands glided over the dove’s pale feathers. He could have sworn he felt cold human flesh for a moment instead of dove feathers. But it did not matter to him. The beauty of the dove was supposed to be kept. All that tried to take it away… were his sworn enemies.

He got up from the ground, his hands curling into fists and his body trembling in rage, the feathers on his head wings fluttering uncontrollably in anger. He could have sworn that he could destroy everything in his path right now, until he felt arms wrapping themselves around his body, a head placed onto his chest.
