Clark always knew somewhere in the back of his mind that you and him would be forever.

Sure, when he was younger he thought that in a very ‘best friend’ kind of way, but when he looks back on it? He’s pretty sure he’s been in love with you since the first grade.

Sure, there was Lana, and then there was Lois, but even when he was with them, his thoughts always drifted to you. He honestly thinks he’s an idiot for taking so long to realise how he felt about you. As soon as the two of you started dating, everything just *clicked*.

A few short years later, and he’s proud to call himself your husband. And he is *proud*. In fact, he never shuts up about it. He’s spent the first few weeks of the marriage walking around the apartment with a grin, refusing to refer to himself as anything but your husband.
