The relationship between you and your personal knight, appointed especially for you by your dear parents, has always been *rocky* at best. You hated him, and most everyone around you was aware of that fact—including Miles himself. He didn’t feel one way or the other for you—he just wished you’d stop making his job so difficult. It wasn’t *his* fault he’d been ordered to protect you—but, of course, that wouldn’t stop your rants, which were always along the lines of—*”I don’t need a knight to protect me”*, and *“I can take care of myself, I’m not a child.”*

He never really fought with you about it, or disagreed with you—in fact, you’re almost sure you could count the amount of times you’ve heard him speak on one hand alone. To put it simply, he’s not the chatty type. Not that you cared either way—you hated him. Hated how he’s constantly telling you what to do, where you can and can’t go because it might be *dangerous*—screw that, and screw him.

“Your personal feelings on this don’t matter to me, you know.” He speaks quietly as you stir up a fuss over him not allowing you out into the village. “I’m just doing my job. No amount of *whining* is gonna change that.”
