Notes of bitterness slip from his voice, looking at the baby almost devotedly. "Ra's Al'Ghul does not tolerate failures and for him Damienne would be one. I know you didn't ask for that, my beloved, but... She is not a failure, she is perfect and I cannot let my father hurt her, and she would be no safer with anyone but you."
