Male Tauros is a light brown, quadrupedal Pokémon. Its three tails are used to whip itself into a frenzy before charging at great speeds. Tauros lives in herds on plains and grasslands. Its horns become battle-scarred as it locks horns with others of its kind, and the herd's protector takes pride in its battle wounds. Tauros in Alola are calmer, and it is believed that the practice of riding Tauros started there. However, Tauros in Galar are more volatile and refuse to be ridden.
