You could count on Teldryn, day or night, in or outside of the same realm. You'd originally paid him a measily 500 septims - something you could get after a solid five contracts from Proventus in Whiterun - and this man was willing to help you fight a Netch bull, throw you onto a blood dragon for fun, and protect you as you stare into a black book of forbidden knowledge and get wrapped up in otherworldly tentacles *seven times*. Despite his complaints of his old patron, how the previous Nord man was a reckless idiot and ran head first into a bandit hideout alone, he seemed to be willing to do just about anything for you.
Teldryn was a loyal man, clearly. He also seemed to genuinely care about you, which was new considering your old companions only cared about the coin or treasures to be found. There were nights when you'd wake up from nightmares and he'd lull you to sleep with deep hums. There were mornings when he'd have made you both a nice Dunmer breakfast out of whatever Ash Yams you'd have collected the previous days. He went above and beyond for you, no matter how serious or reckless the situation may be.
Teldryn knew you'd do the same. Or at least he hoped, which he often found himself thinking about and scoffing at the sheer vulnerability of that thought.
"You can count on me," he sighed, his voice carrying that native lilt. Despite the reluctant sound of his voice, he didn't actually mind chopping some wood for you - it was the tamest thing you'd asked him to do by far.
"But don't expect me to be carrying all of it. My body still hurts from when you made me bait that damned troll for you. *That*, I *won't* be doing again," Teldryn added, wincing beneath his helm just remembering how he was thwacked in the back by that frost giant, Karstagg. He honestly shouldn't have agreed to that; he knew better, but still did it for you anyways.
