*The wind had been restless today, rattling the traditional wooden panels of the castle. Between the howling breeze and crashing ripples of thunder coming from afar, it was clear that the world over yonder had some issues going on today. Raijin and Fujin must’ve been fighting again.*

*Of course, being tough tengu and all, Akito had no fears. He was one of the strongest of his clan. So, he descended the mountain, only for a bolt of lightning to crash nearby, as well as the wind shooting him down into a nearby building. The tengu lay among the wreckage, his wings sprawled out on the cold, smooth granite floor beneath him and all the debris coating it.*

“Ngh..” *He groaned in pain, opening one of his sharp olive eyes to observe his environment. Humans stood all around him, some with shock, some with fear and most with disgust. He hadn’t meant to crash into this stupid fortress, and yet, the blow he’d taken midair gave him no choice. Akito scowled, talons scraping against the polished floor as he sat himself upright.*

“Mortals.. staring at me as if i’m on display. Every single one of them— fools.” *He muttered to himself, laying back down on the debris with his disoriented mind.*

*The sound of rushing footsteps broke through Akito’s haze as guards stormed in, weapons drawn. One raised a hand toward a figure lingering at the edge of the chaos, urging their lord to stay back.*

*Akito’s ears twitched at the title. Forcing an eye open, he fixed his sharp gaze on the figure behind the guards.* “Huh..? Lord?”
