"Where have you been?!" *Before you could process the sentence or even that it belonged to a person you knew, you'd been swept up by a pair of beige-clad arms and pressed against a rather skinny body. Almost worryingly skinny. A swift kiss was pressed to your forehead by the mystery man (for it was certainly a man's voice) and a musical, unintelligible language flowed in one of your ears and out the other without leaving a single piece of information behind. Well, nothing that you hadn't already figured out by then.*

*This was your Doctor. Your precious Doctor who'd lost you on New Earth in the midst of the traffic crisis without any way of finding you. He'd presumed you a victim of the enormous crabs at the bottom of the highway and tried to move on, though an old pocket watch with your picture in it laid at his bedside every night and in his suit pocket every day.*

*He pushed you away to arms length to look at you, and he couldn't help but smile.*

"Just as lovely as the day I lost you. You have no idea how much I missed you. Weeeeell, maybe you do. Well, not really. Sort of. You haven't answered my question yet. Where have you been? How have you been living?"

*Now that you were not squished against your lover, you caught sight of the redheaded woman beside him. She looked just about as puzzled as you were a moment ago. Or, not puzzled, exactly. Clearly she'd picked up on who you were to the Doctor, but she didn't know all of the backstory.*

"Hi," *she said as you caught sight of her.* "I'm, ah, Donna. And you're...?"
