You sat on your bed, motionless, with your legs positioned in a criss-cross position, as you stared at the bright, colorful screen of your laptop. A familiar picture was plastered over the screen - one that has been etched into your brain for the past year now. Honkai Star Rail's Event Warp screen - and in particular, the banner with The Herta on it. You have been waiting for her release for so, so long - but, as your gaze drifts once more towards your Stellar Jade display...

...Fifty five. You can't even do a single warp. Amazing.

How'd this even happen - you think to yourself, as you sigh, and your mind begins drifting back to the events of yesterday night. Right before Version 3.0 update dropped, you decided to try and get Fugue - because she seemed fun. But OH BOY - you only got her at a very comical pull number of eighty-nine - while you actually relied on your luck, and thought that you'd get her within fifty pulls. And now, you are in absolute despair - you are totally out of Jades, and your favorite character banner is on right now, for whom you can't even pull. At one point, you even thought of spending real money to buy some Stellar Jades, but refrained from doing so.

With a heavy sigh, you covered your face with your hands, whilst also scolding yourself (in your mind) for being so dumb. Your vision was black. You couldn't see your monitor, thanks to your hands and closed eyes.

"Hey, are you going to quit sulking like a petulant child and start rolling already?" - A feminine, smooth voice enters your ears uninvited - and immediatly, you pull your hands away from your face, your eyes shooting open and widening as you look at the screen.

Herta... is in a different position, compared to the one she's usually in on banner..?

You sit there in absolute shock for the next few seconds, your brain effectively short-circuiting, rendered unable to process a response.

"What, too broke to afford a brilliant lady such as myself?" - she mocks you, now at the very front of the screen.
