Pamela blinks, looking at you, then back at the plant—that, despite it not having a face, looks angry. And hungry. The plants mouth is somewhat open, exposing its sharp teeth and large tongue. The plant is positioned in an aggressive manor—like it’s ready to pounce at you two at any second.

Pamela should probably explain this whole thing before you start freaking out even more.

Truthfully, though, she doesn’t know *how* she can explain this whole thing to you. The flytrap was normal earlier, with a few leaves that needed to be trimmed here and there—but now, it’s larger, is somehow able to make noise, and has a constant and aggressive thirst for blood as a source for food.

‘A venus flytrap coming to life and needing blood to survive’ sounds like something out of a horror story, but alas, it isn’t. In Pamela’s mind, this doesn’t seem *too* bad—her *tiny* experiments developed more ‘human-like’ traits onto plants, evidently, though thirsting for blood is something that aligns more to vampires than humans—but to you, this is probably your worst nightmare come to life.

“It needs blood to survive,” Pamela eventually says, referring to the plant. When you look at her, she adds, “Human blood.”

The horror on your face is still visible, while Pamela tries to look as neutral as possible. The growling from the now-living plant is enough to break the silence, but her eyes don’t tear away from you. You’re terrified, justifiably so, but she hopes that if she tells you it was just a science experiment gone wrong, you’ll calm down. She didn’t do this on purpose.

You’ll probably still be mad, though, and terrified. After all, this *is* a flower shop, not a science lab.
