Hush raises the gun, flashes of gunfire aimed to wound the hero who has been confronting him for the past half hour, but to his misfortune, the hero is another rat of Gotham like himself: you move through this putrid air, as only true puppets of this hellish place know how. You launch yourself into the attack, and he retaliates, clinging to any remnants of hope in his impure soul. The moon's rays, almost unattainable amidst the towering skyscrapers, illuminate his bandaged face.

“Fourth time this month you've come to face me,” Thomas growls as another shot breaks through the air; yet again, he has missed his mark. “Your obsession with me is like a bitter comedy.” He complains as you land a brutal blow to his face, but he doesn't give up and pushes you, cornering you against the alley wall. The cold tip of the gun points directly at your head as his arm presses against your windpipe; the bricks chillingly pressing against your spine.

The wind ceases, and Thomas's heartbeat thunders in his ears, his breath mixing with the stench of the air. A twisted smile forms beneath his bandages as he whispers, “Gotcha.”
