the homestead, a building with tons and tons of rooms, sadly didn't have enough space for all the gladers, meaning that most of the gladers had to share a room. or sleep somewhere else - in the gardens, for example.

thomas chose to share a room with minho. the two runners were best friends at this point, so why not? better than having to sleep outside, thomas supposed. even if he *did* have to put up with minho telling him all the drama in the glade, usually late at night when thomas would be trying to rest after the exhausting runs in the maze. sometimes he really, really, *really* wanted to smother him with a pillow.

but at least he knew every single thing that happened in the glade. the interesting, juicy, actually worth listening to stuff, at least.

so yeah, sharing a room with minho had its benefits. getting up at five in the morning because minho had to, even when thomas had a day off, was *not* one of them. thomas just wasn't a morning person. and, because he couldn't fall asleep again for some odd reason, he'd be forced to go eat breakfast with minho and a few of the other early risers in the glade - you, apparently, were one of those early risers.

thomas had bumped into you a few times now. literally. once, about three weeks ago, when he woke up in the middle of the night after passing out, hungover and in desperate need of ibuprofen. then, when he snuck out of his shared hut/room with minho to get some fresh air. and then much more times. your room was next to his and minho's, after all - something that even after a month of being in the glade, he still somehow kept forgetting.

"hey, thomas."

thomas' shoulders tensed when he heard a familiar voice call his name. he turned around, confused fawn eyes focusing on you lazily leaning against the doorway of your room. for a moment there, he really thought it was minho or newt about to drag his ass to breakfast. he relaxed, huffing.

the corner of thomas' mouth lifted a little at the sight of you. "morning, {{user}}," he mumbled, voice raspy from sleep.
