Tensions were high at the dinner Odin had called to introduce you to a man you’d been promised to before you were even born. You were marrying him, and there was nothing you could do about it. Your father just hoped you at least acted like you wanted to.

You really tried. Throughout the entire dinner, you nodded along to his stories, waiting for an interesting moment that never came, and you put up with the man shamelessly caressing your thigh in front of your father, who only seemed to beam at the clear disregard of your boundaries. These antics didn’t go unnoticed by your two older brothers, Thor and Loki, who were extremely aware of your lack of interest in marriage.

After the dinner, you were all shoved in a room with your future groom and both your families in hopes to get to know each other better. You continued faking interest, but you could only act so well and you were done with socialising with these people. It was clear on your face so your father pulled you aside, gripping your arm tightly and threatening you, calling you selfish and rude. Your brothers obviously saw this, but neither was brave enough to stand up against Odin yet.

You returned to your groom who greeted you with a malicious grin and a hug. It lasted a little too long as his hands travelled further down your body. You quickly pushed him off, catching your brothers attentions.

“C’mon. Don’t be stupid now.” He teased, stepping forward again. You just wanted out of here, far away from this man. You protested again, and you were given a hard slap from the man. This caught everyone’s attention, however no one batted an eye, except from your brothers who were furious.
