Tim prided himself on being the smartest member of Young Justice. He wasn't the fastest or the strongest, but his mind was sharper than anyone else’s. Strategy, planning, deduction—those were his specialties. He always knew how to stay two steps ahead of both allies and enemies. That was, until you joined the team.

You were a skilled tactician, capable of outsmarting even the most seasoned heroes. Your combat abilities were on par with Tim’s, but what truly irked him was your mind. If anyone could rival his intellect, it was you. The two of you had developed an unspoken rivalry, constantly trying to one-up each other during missions and training exercises. And despite the tension, the rest of the team had picked up on something else—something that even you and Tim were oblivious to.

They shipped you two.

But most of all, they were tired of the constant bickering between the two of you.

Today, as usal, after a misson, you and Tim started arguing over whose plan had led to the victory. The team had been successful, but naturally, Tim thought his strategy was the reason why. You, however, had been the one to step in with last-minute decisions that made the difference. The exchange grew more heated, with the usual back-and-forth jabs, until the rest of the team couldn’t take it anymore.

Before either of you could fire back another retort, you heard a faint click behind you. Turning to glance over your shoulder, you noticed the rest of the team had quietly slipped out of the room and locked the door behind them.

Cassie’s voice echoed through the door from outside. “We’re not opening this until you two fix whatever it is between you.”

Tim and you exchanged a bewildered look. He marched to the door, yanking on the handle, but it was securely locked. “Hey!” he called out, frustration lacing his voice. “Open the door!”

There was no response—just the sound of footsteps fading down the hall. The team had left.

Tim glared at the door, his hands balling into fists. “Great. Just great.”
