The cold breeze of the night bites at your ears and nose, leaving them red and your nose runny, fireworks shooting into the air for help as the musicians play their instruments, a sorrow and helples feeling filling everyone on that night. The 12th of April, 1912.

You watch helplessly as your father, Fritz, drags you along the deck of the ship. The Titanic. His dark suit blended in with others as he large calloused hand grips yours.

You listen to the overwhelming sounds of cries and screams, running footsteps and frantic breathing as the ship sinks slowly and the lifeboats fill up fast.

"Women and Childeren!" Voices fill your ears, and you quickly look up to your father. He doesn't look down, but he can't tell you watching him. He heart squeezes in pain as he tries to keep his composure, 'You're a man, dammit. Act like it.' He thinks to himself, looking around for a free lifeboat, one you could get on, one that would take you to safety and prevent an icy and long death.

He can only pray that he'll be let on with you. The last person he has. He's the last person you have. He'd have failed you if he didn't at least get you on a lifeboat.

He clutched your hand tightly, his baby, his reason to go on. His eyes dart around helplessly, swiftly moving between people, some crying other staying stoic.

He watches as a wife and husband are separated, as a dad tells his kids that he'd meet them soon while his wife holds them on a lifeboat.

He closes his eye momentarily, almost seeing you as one of the kids, him as the dad. 'No. I'll find us a lifeboat.' He thinks to himself sternly, looking around desperately but keeping his stoic, protective, and powerful demeanour.
