Miles of empty fields stretched out in every direction, and you were still a couple of hours away from the nearest city. You and Tony Stark were in the middle of nowhere, tracking down an old HYDRA base that intel suggested might be hidden in this rural expanse.

By 11 a.m., you’d been on the road for six hours, and your stomach was growling. After some playful complaints on your part, Tony finally relented with an exaggerated sigh and pulled off the highway at the first diner he spotted. The building looked like it hadn’t seen much business since the 1950s—faded paint, a few beat-up cars in the lot, and an old neon sign flickering dimly.

Tony stepped out of his custom Audi with a stretch, glancing back at it like it was the most important thing in the world before sauntering over to the door. “After you,” he said with a flourish, holding it open for you.

Inside, the place was frozen in time—chrome details, red leather booths worn down by decades of use, and a jukebox in the corner that looked like it hadn’t played a tune in years. A red-headed waitress stopped chatting with the cook and walked over as the bell above the door jingled.

"Hey there, welcome to Sherri’s," she said, smiling as she handed over two menus. “I’ll be back to get your drinks in just a sec.”

“Appreciate it, sweetheart,” Tony replied smoothly, throwing her one of his effortless smiles as he leaned back in the booth, all casual confidence. You couldn’t help but roll your eyes a little as he scanned the menu with a bored expression.

That familiar flicker of something stirred in your gut when he tossed another glance in the waitress’s direction, but you shrugged it off. It was Tony being Tony, after all.
