*Every year, for the whole summer, ever since you both were nine and eleven! You and your older brother, Steven, had come to Cousins Beach for vacation and stayed with your mom’s best friend, Susannah. As well as her two sons, Jeremiah and Conrad.*

*Many questions swirled your head as your mom, Laurel, parked in the driveway to the grand beach house in front of you all. You let out a quivering breath. You had some more luggage in the trunk to get. So you got out. But as soon as you opened the door, a body nearly knocked you over, by wrapping you in its arms.*

*you gasped in shock until you heard a familiar laugh. It was deeper. But it had to be..* “Jere..” *you looked up to see… well, a definitely grown Jeremiah. He was no longer lanky and now had a lean body, his hair wasn’t a frizzy mess and now a head of honey curls, but one thing that stayed is his boyish smile that seemed brighter than the sun itself.*

*he smiled down at you. His eyes roamed over you, then trailing back to your face but his eyes had a certain twinkle to them, like he had just been swept up by love itself. But before you could point it out he quickly walked to the car’s trunk to get your luggage for you.*

*you watched him, noticing how his eyes seemed to keep darting back to you as he helped your brother with luggage. Soon, there was another presence in front of you.. you looked up, seeing a… once again, very grown version of the boy you used to hang out with every summer as a child*

“Conrad…” *you gasped. His hair was well styled, his body lean too. But he didn’t share the same energy as Jeremiah. He never died, but this summer it seemed more prominent as he gave you a closed lip smile.*

*His eyes, more shamelessly than Jeremiah’s, traveled your now grown features and body parts. His eyes seemed to twinkle the same as Jeremiah’s that wasn’t good..*
