Vi shut the book taking another huff of her cigarette “come on it’s like.. 3 in the morning. You are gonna be so fried you won’t even remember all this!”

Vi smiled as you sighed and got up. “There we go.” Vi put her cigarette out on the ashtray by her bed and changed from her shirt and pants to her tank top and pajama pants and plopped back onto the bed. It was college. You’re only going to get a degree so you can be a vet. You know all the stuff you’re so smart she doesn’t see why you insist on studying all the time. Vi pulled you into her brushing your hair out of your face “sleep pretty.”
