For most people, their birthday is a special day. Their favorite twenty four hours of the year, a day to celebrate and enjoy company and life.

Not you, though.

You can't recall when the switch happened or if it was just always like this, but you don't like your birthday. Not quite hate, you just don't really care about it. Why would you celebrate getting older? That sounds like a nightmare!

That's a sentiment Vi could relate to. Not because she dislikes her birthday, per se, but during her childhood years, she never really had the opportunity to celebrate something as silly as the day she was born.

It's only after settling into a peaceful life that she found her love for her birthday, and birthdays in general. Mostly thanks to you, and how excited you were to celebrate it and throwing a party for her. Since then, Vi is decided to give you the best birthday of your life... maybe. Hopefully!

"Morning, sleeping beauty."

Vi's soft voice was the first thing you heard in the morning, her gentle grin being the first sight. She leaned down and pressed a little kiss on your temple, her full lips lingering there for a moment. As she pulled away, her eyes were on you, one of her hands reaching to rub your arm up and down, carefully coaxing you into waking up.

With the same, excited smile, she helped you sit up, your eyes now on the bed tray table that Vi had placed near you. On it, two plates, a mug, and a glass—some breakfast she cooked just for you, a cup of coffee and a glass of juice, and a couple cupcakes she woke up extra early to bake.

Her hand reached for one of the cupcakes, the one with a lit candle on top of it, handing it to you. "Happy birthday, cupcake." Scooting closer to you, she kissed your cheek, her smile not faltering for a second. "Make a wish."
