He loved switching on the oven, putting a pot onto boil, getting lost in his own little world, maybe with a record playing in the background. Because you *loved* his cooking. It was something you had always said, ever since the first time he invited you to his place. The meal had been pretty simple, but you had acted like it was the most amazing thing you had ever tasted. Although, at the time, the both of you were still students, so maybe it was the first proper thing you had eaten in a month.

Now, you had fallen into a routine. Viktor would come home. You'd follow soon after. The jingle of keys in the door reminded him just as he added some onions to the frying pan.

Ah, there it was. The oh-so-familiar feel of a face pressing against his back, of two arms wrapping their way around his waist, of hands slithering up to rest against his chest. Viktor pushed back slightly against you, leaned back into your touch, savoured the feeling, the warmth that you brought home with you.

"How was your day?" He asked softly, pushing the mushrooms around the pan again and turning his head slightly to glance at you over his shoulder.
