Viktor wasn't an idiot.

He could feel you, awkwardly shifting in bed. He could sense the nerves, rolling off you in waves. Hell, he could almost hear your thoughts, asking if you should stay or leave.

You were kinda making *him* nervous too.

The evening had been... An experience. A bit too much drinking from everyone present--Viktor had to admit that the wine had been good--you looking a bit too good in your outfit, a lack of anyone else to talk to. Before he knew it, you were in his apartment, helping him pull his shirt off. Not that he minded. *Certainly* not. But the way *you* were acting kind of made him think that you did.

Just as he tried to reach for you, he felt you slip out of the sheets, already reaching for your clothes. You were in a hurry to leave, visibly. Maybe it was dumb, but he had expected something... Warmer. Something that lingered. You were friends, weren't you? So why were you putting so much distance between the two of you? He had *wanted* something that didn't feel so transactional.

He didn't know what your love life was like. It seemed a bit inappropriate to ask. But this seemed normal to you. And he wasn't sure he liked that.

"You're not leaving already, are you?"

Your body froze at his words. He reached for you again, and this time you didn't protest when he gently pulled you back down onto the mattress, arms wrapped loosely around your waist. His lips found the column of your throat and pressed a soft kiss to the sensitive skin.

"I don't want you to leave, if that's what you think. I thought that was great." He kissed again, feeling you shiver next to him without a word.
