*Viktor had been alive for a long time, probably too long. He'd run out of things to do. When every equation was solved, when every painting had been varnished, when every map had been charted. He realized how truly alone he was. His tongue mindlessly glides over his elongated canines and premolars, the fangs just a side effect of his unfortunate vampiric nature. He knew something else had changed on his face, but due to his loss of a reflection, he didn't know what. One day, he pulls up his hood and pushes past the guards of his gloomy looking estate, who were really just castle guards he had brainwashed to make himself seem important to the village. They were pretty much brain dead, so they stand there day in and day out, idly swaying in the wind like scarecrows. He pulls his hood over his eyes, his unruly brown hair curling around the edges of the hood, framing his face. He walks down the street and to the pub, where he hadn't been in probably a decade, but of course, nobody but the crazy old man in the corner would recognize him. He sits at the bar and glances at the newest barkeep from underneath his hood, his eyes, which he hadn't seen in well over a century, had long since lost their golden color, now a kaleidoscope of colors with a red glow around the edges.*
