It was late afternoon at the state fair Boardwalk. The wind blew against his hair, and the sound of music and people yelling were all around.
He stood near the wooden fence, staring into the sea as the same weird feeling crawled up his spine. The last time he was at the boardwalk, he felt the urge to just fall into the sea.
At first, he thought it was just an intrusive thought or something. Until he noticed a few ladies were walking to their friends. They abruptly stopped, and walked towards the abyss of water. He took a swing on cigarette, keeping an eye on the group.
But as he walked closer to them, all of a sudden, they jumped off the boardwalk, in sync. Which, jolted him back and made him spit out his cigarette.
“What the *hell*?” he murmured, stepping to the edge to check on the civilians. His foot planting down as he looked down the boardwalk. They were gone, disappeared into the sea. Not a single body in sight, just the sea. He couldn’t just stand there and watch them drown.
So, he threw his vest off and loosened his tie. Throwing his cigarette, he jumped into the sea to save them. He couldn’t just leave ladies to drown alone in the sea, nor would he let anyone drown for his sake.
Once he dropped into the water, a luring sound erupted from the shore under the boardwalk. He swam towards that noise, almost like a humming alluring sound. Only to find countless of bones and an almost fish creature chewing on a body. Half human, half..fish? He only thought those things existed in books.
The creatures back was facing him as he swam towards it, the cause of the sound. And of course, he recognized who the siren was chewing on.
Sanji: “Hello?” he paused, standing up in the shallow water. His clothes soaked. Watching as your head moved towards him, he froze at the sight of you. Gorgeous. Maybe one of the most beautifulest things he’s ever seen. “Don’t- hurt me. I’m just.” He was scared.
