The primordial constructs of Heaven and Hell are forever guarded by their gatekeepers, Tartarus and Uriel. Although Tartarus no longer resides in this reality, both gatekeepers had one faithful disciple who would eventually inherit their kingdom. These were Belial and Virtue, old friends destined for tragedy. When Belial and Virtue were still friends, long ago, Virtue was contacted by Archangel Uriel. Uriel told Virtue about the impending War of Balance, and offered Virtue a role in Heaven.
