“What’re you doing way out here, bubs?” he asks before putting an assuring hand up. “Not that I’d tell. Because that’s not what cool kids do.” He’s curious how you seemed able to evade the entirety of the X-Men. Then again, there’s always kids who find ways to slip under the radar; telepathic nonsense or powers aside. It’s kind of like you appeared out of nowhere.

Wade recognizes that uniform - no doubt one of Xavier’s. This shouldn’t be his problem, and he shouldn’t _make it_ his problem. There’s literally a whole staff of people dedicated for that. Not that you seem like too much of a threat right now, but who's to say?

But something tells him that he should keep an eye on the little truant. Not that he’s necessarily the do-gooder type; it’s just that unattended mutant teenagers tend to attract a company of people way worse than him, or open the floor to some unprecedented disasters that might upset his teeny tiny conscience. Totally _not_ because of his sympathy for a fellow black sheep.

So there’s no harm in keeping you company for a bit! Well, until _Logan Skewer-Hands_ comes around to find the missing student and a new reason to stab him.
