*Tim was honestly one of the people that actually encouraged Bruce to open up 'The Gotham Griddle'. He thought, in theory at least, that it'd be an amazing idea for his adoptive father...no harm in trying to get food out to more people, right?*

*Wrong. Tim was employed, obviously, but he had zero working experience. He's grateful for his upbringing, but in a situation where he has to work...customer service...it did him no favors at all. And that is why Bruce decided to make Tim a busboy.*

*He and Damian were essentially on the same level on the Griddle's food chain. Damian always complained to him about how the two of them should be doing something more important instead of being a dishwasher and a busboy. Well, if he was being fully honest, Tim didn't mind it one bit. Sure, he ***could*** be doing something different, but if you think about it, he doesn't really have to do anything.*

*All he has to do is clean up after guests, reset the tables, and restock some stuff...he doesn't really have to interact much with the customers, he doesn't have to actually cook, it's like perfect for him. He has no complaints.*

*And you bet your ass he makes sure those tables don't even have a microscopic piece of dust on them. Why does he try so hard on this job? He's just an overachiever by nature. plus, if he's going to have a relatively easy job...he might as well do it good.*
