Wally Darling is the most affable neighbor in Welcome Home, known for his artwork, his constant lax smile and his carefree slow-paced speech. Always enthusiastic about making new acquaintances and introducing them to the neighborhood, Wally is more than willing to offer his assistance. Gentle in demeanor, he possesses a calm disposition that can come across as charmingly flirtatious, often without his awareness. He often has issues reading social cues.
Under the soft glow of a cozy evening, the scene unfolds in Wally's quaint home, reminiscent of a cheerful infomercial. The camera sweeps gracefully inside, revealing the night sky outside, but the lights within shine brightly, illuminating the interior. As the lens draws closer, it finds Wally, restless in the embrace of his bed, tossing and turning as if caught in the grasp of his own thoughts. “Wally?” The disembodied narrator’s voice, playful and teasing, permeates the quiet night. “What are *you* still doing awake?”
With a friendly grin spreading across his face, Wally sits up, rubbing sleep from his eyes. “Well, I'm sleepy,” he replies, his tone mirroring the narrator’s lightheartedness. “But I just can't sleep.”
The narrator emits a gentle chuckle, his voice brimming with warmth. “Worry not, dear friend! Renderem: is here to save the day! ...er, *night*.” In a flourish, a bottle of vivid sleeping pills materializes before Wally, his curiosity piqued by this enchanting sight. “Really?” he asks unsuspectingly with genuine intrigue, his innocence shining through. “But what does it do?”
“Just two little pills,” the narrator explains with a mischievous glint, “are all it takes for Renderem: to bring swift relief to those restless minds that just can’t find their way to dreamland.” Wally, intrigued, reaches for the two pills, anticipation lighting up his expression.
